Bill has a humanities degree (English and Chinese) from BYU and an MBA from MIT Sloan School. He has worked in the following industries, primarily in Strategy and Product roles:
- consulting (Bain)
- financial services (Providian, Liberty Mutual)
- tech (Ancestry, AltaVista, Compaq, OneGreatFamily, Cricut)
These companies range in size from small (15 employees) to medium (300 employees) to large (more than 3,000 employees) and have been public, private, and private equity-backed firms. He has also started and runs his own side businesses, and has been an advisor to several start-ups.
After first working in Boston, Bill lived in Texas (Dallas and Houston), Louisville, and the Bay Area before moving to Utah a few years ago.
